how it works

  1. Start with your number.

Verify it to see how many people like you. You won’t see who yet.

  2. Put in your crush’s number.

They don’t need an account yet. They won’t get a message, and you won’t see whether they’ve joined.

  3. If they put yours in too…

It’s a match! You’ll see each other’s numbers here next time you check.

No invites or notifications. Just the sign-in codes you ask for.

privacy

Whepo is an Atbit app for adults 18 and older.

What stays private?

Your incoming count, outgoing likes, and matches are visible only in your signed-in account. A match reveals your numbers to each other. Whepo’s backend processes the relationships; anonymity is between users, not from the service. Timing or information outside the app can still help someone guess who liked them.

Will anyone get a notification?

No signup announcements, invitations, like alerts, match texts, emails, or push notifications. The only outbound message is a verification code someone requests for their own number. Matches appear while you’re here or when you return.

How do you use phone numbers?

Google Firebase verifies phone access and processes and stores authentication numbers to prevent spam and abuse. Whepo stores encrypted numbers and private relationships on Google Cloud; Cloudflare serves this website. Authentication stays on your device until you sign out or need to verify again. We don’t put phone numbers or likes into analytics, and we don’t sell them.

Can I remove a like or block someone?

Yes. Remove a like in your dashboard, or block a number in My account. Blocking hides their likes from your count, prevents a match, and removes your outgoing like. Neither action sends a message. A revealed number can’t be unseen. Use Whepo respectfully: no impersonation, harassment, or attempts to identify people by mass guessing.

What happens when I delete my account?

In My account, request a fresh verification code to delete your account. Your outgoing and incoming likes and your blocks are removed from the live app, and any matches disappear. A minimal deletion record prevents old sessions from restoring the account. Someone else’s block of your number can remain so they keep that protection. Encrypted backup copies expire on a rolling seven-day schedule. New likes may be placed against the number later.

What if a phone number changes owners?

Phone verification proves current access to a number, not a person’s identity. With phone-only sign-in, we cannot distinguish someone returning from a new owner of the same number. Delete your account before giving up a number. A number’s current holder can access the account associated with it, so never treat a match as proof of who is using that number.

Block a number

They won’t appear in your count or matches. Your like to them will be removed.

No blocked numbers.

delete account?

This removes your account, likes, matches, and blocks. It can’t undo a number someone has already seen. We’ll text you a code to confirm it’s you.

remove this like?

This ends any match for both of you. A number already revealed can’t be unseen.
